- I have owned the first model the SodaStream Fountain Jet Black for 7 or 8 years and have been really happy with the product. I thought it was time to upgrade since mine was starting to show signs of wear so I bought the Play model. It was an easy set up but I was never able to get it to carbonate the water no matter how many times I pressed the top. It acted like it did but very weak carbonation even after three applications of carbonation. I packed it back up and returned it. Guess I’ll just get another of the older cheaper model.
- Worth it in the long run. it may seem pricey up front, but I don’t have to lug cases of soda, or carbonated water around anymore. I dont really care for the syrups they have, but sudsing up a bottle of water, and adding fresh juice from fruits is thje way to go for me. No more Lacroix, or dasani cans for me, this does it better.
